About
Eva is a trainee at the firm and is due to qualify in August 2025. She has completed seats in Construction & Engineering, Planning & Compulsory Purchase and Real Estate and is currently based in the Banking & Finance team.
She attended Edinburgh Napier University from 2017-2021, studying an undergraduate degree in Scots Law. From 2021-2022, Eva completed the diploma in professional legal practice at the University of Glasgow, graduating with a merit.
In July 2022, she joined Burges Salmon as a legal team administrator gaining a wide range of experience working centrally over all teams. She then stepped into the role of trainee solicitor in August 2023, where she was one of the first trainee solicitors to be based in our Edinburgh office.
Eva sits on the Edinburgh charity committee and social committee and enjoys being involved with organising various events. She also enjoys assisting with the firms Bright Sparks programme and presentation evenings for young people looking for a future in the legal field.
Experience
- Pandox: Advising on the financing of its acquisition of DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre, working alongside various teams, over multiple jurisdictions to complete the £49 million transaction.
- Borrower: Advised on a project finance transaction, acting for the borrower regarding a solar development in South West England.
- Drax: Advising and developing the construction contracts for going to tender on the Cruachan pumped hydro storage extension.
- Solar transactions: Assisted on a variety of solar energy option and lease transactions. This included reviewing titles, due diligence and drafting various options and leases.
