Hannah is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution team. Her practice encompasses both commercial litigation and financial services disputes.
She is well versed in managing high value, complex commercial disputes, often with a regulatory angle. She has a wealth of experience working with clients across a range of industries, helping them achieve the best commercial solution for their business. Hannah has both High Court and Court of Appeal experience, including in obtaining urgent injunctive relief to protect the client’s commercial interests, as well as mediation experience.
Hannah is a member of the firm’s Financial Services senior management team, and has in-house commercial experience from a secondment at The Royal Bank of Scotland plc.
Experience
- FSCS: Advising FSCS as a representative creditor in the High Court and Court of Appeal cases relating to MF Global UK Company Voluntary Arrangement.
- URE Energy Limited: Advising on the termination of a large-scale electricity supply contract and the subsequent claim for significant liquidated damages against one of the largest UK housing associations, Notting Hill Genesis.
- FSCS: Advising on its PPI recoveries project, pursuing recoveries from lenders pursuant to s.140 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 following the Supreme Court’s decision in Plevin V Paragon Personal Finance Ltd 2014 UKSC 61.
- Negligence claims: Advising on a substantial portfolio of professional negligence claims against commercial surveyors for a leading UK bank.
- FSCS: Advising on a portfolio of claims against the operators of self-invested personal pension schemes (“SIPP operators”) and their respective professional indemnity insurers.
