Jess joined Burges Salmon in the Real Estate team in May 2024. She has experience advising a range of clients in the strategic, development, commercial and energy sectors. In particular, she has experience advising both landowners and developers in relation to land development (residential housing and energy).
Experience
- Transport for London group: acting as part of the team advising on development projects for residential development.
- YTL Developments: acting as part of the team advising on the regeneration of the former Filton airfield with a new urban community comprising 2,675 houses, a new retail/town centre, a new Arena for the south-west region and 24 hectares of employment space.
- PLC Developer and Council joint venture: acting as part of the team advising on the estate management aspects of large scale residential housing development, including drafting and negotiating development agreements, dealing with affordable housing disposals (including golden brick arrangements) and substation transfers.
- PLC Developer: acting as part of the team advising on estate management aspects of a residential housing development, including dealing with access easements, affordable housing disposals and due diligence.
- Landlords: advising landlords in relation to multi-let offices, including both the grant and surrender of leases.
- Energy Developer: acting as part of the team advising a developer exercising options over sites intended for a solar farm development, including assisting on the financing of the project.
