About
Joanna joined the Real Estate team in April 2023 after training at a firm in the South West. She undertakes a variety of real estate transactions, including corporate acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work, and private land acquisitions. As part of the firm’s Energy team Joanna has experience in advising landowners, developers and investors on a variety of renewable energy projects. Her particular fields of expertise are large scale solar, wind, battery storage and linear infrastructure projects.
Experience
- Border to Coast Pensions Partnership: Acting on the launch of a £1.2 billion UK real estate fund, including the simultaneous transfer of 65 property assets into the fund.
- Various private solar and battery developers: Acting on option agreements for new energy projects, including large-scale, multi-site, DCO-backed solar projects (including multi-landowner solar projects).
- Offshore wind project: Negotiating and advising on transmission asset documentation, drafting template documents for land rights for the onshore cable route, and negotiating and dealing with title due diligence with multiple landowners.
- Tritax: Acting on various landlord and tenant asset management matters across a real estate portfolio.
- Xlinks: Acting on the negotiation of UK land agreements for a nationally significant energy project linking renewable power generated in Morocco to the UK via 3,800 kilometres of HVDC sub-sea cables.
