Jodie trained at Burges Salmon and qualified into the Real Estate team in August 2024. She has experience in renewables and energy including solar, battery storage, wind and linear projects, real estate finance (lender and borrower side), corporate occupier and telecommunications.

Her experience includes drafting and negotiating options, leases and easements and conducting due diligence and reporting on title, ensuring regular and consistent communication with developers and landowners. Jodie also has experience providing contractual advice to clients in a variety of sectors.

Jodie regularly attends industry events and round table meetings within the real estate sector and energy sector more specifically.

Experience

  • EDF Energy: A member of the core team providing support to EDF Energy on the drafting and negotiation of land agreements.
  • Renewable Connections: A member on the RCD team working on their development portfolio and leading negotiations of Options for Leases of ground-mounted solar and battery projects in the UK, including conducting property due diligence.
  • Anesco: Leading on the negotiations of Options for Leases of battery and solar projects in the UK, including conducting property due diligence.
  • Darwin Leisure Development Fund: Advised Darwin on a variety of aspects of their portfolio, including financing, new disposals, licences, the grant of leases with the fund as landowner and preparing certificates of title.
  • HSBC Bank Plc: Advised HSBC in relation to real estate finance of a store, including producing a certificate of title, conducting property due diligence and drafting the mortgage documents.
  • Severn Trent Water Limited: Acted for STW in relation to a range of new acquisitions, disposals, easements and answering ad hoc portfolio management queries.
