John has been with the firm since 1995, and is a partner in the Tax and Private Client teams.
He provides tax advice to a wide range of high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and many leading international financial institutions. He has a particular focus on entrepreneurial and non-domiciled clients and the crossover between international, corporate and personal taxes.
Nationally, John is the Vice-President of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT), having been a Council member since 2014 and also chairs the CIOT’s Technical Policy Committee and Oversight Committee. He sits on the Private Client (International) and Private Client (UK) committees and was also a former member of HMRC’s General Anti-Abuse Rule (GAAR) panel. He was previously chair of judges for the STEP Private Client Awards.
