Overview

Jonathan joined the firm as a trainee in 2004 and qualified in 2006. He is a partner in the firm's corporate finance team.

Jonathan works with public and private companies and advises on a broad range of corporate matters including acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, funding rounds and general aspects of company law.

Jonathan is a member of the firm's energy and utilities team. He is particularly experienced in this sector having acted for a range of developers, investors and funders across a range of technologies including solar, wind, biomass, hydro, anaerobic digestion and energy from waste projects.

Experience
  • Advising Infinis plc on the sale of its hydro portfolio to Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and H2O Power Limited for £20.5 million.
  • Advising ENGIE on the acquisition of leading wind energy developer West Coast Energy.
  • Advising KDE / Infinergy on the sale of two operational onshore wind farms (Castle Pill and Ferndale) to John Laing and the corporate aspects of the development and project financing of the Wear Point wind farm.
  • Advising on the acquisition and disposal of numerous solar projects (including portfolios) for developers and investors.
