About

Julia is an associate in the firm’s Real Estate team. She has experience in a range of commercial real estate matters, advising a broad range of clients across multiple sectors. She advises on complex, large scale development projects and strategic land as well as portfolio management work, including acquisitions and disposals and landlord and tenant work.

She also has expertise in the Electronic Communications Code, assisting landowner clients to reach negotiated solutions with telecommunications operators. Julia has experience acting for clients in the landowner, office and retail markets in the UK and has also lead multi-jurisdictional teams on international matters.

Julia is a member of the South West branch of The Association of Women in Property.

Experience

  • US headquartered leading international investment bank: Supporting the in-house legal team as a secondee with responsibility for corporate real estate maters across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
  • The Crown Estate: Advising on the disposal of development land by way of conditional contract as well as landlord and tenant matters, including the negotiation of Electronic Communications Code agreements with telecommunications operators.
  • Aviva Investors and Lands Improvement Holdings: Advising the consortium of landowners on the £1.75 billion Linmere project, a mixed use development of a c630 acre urban village in Bedfordshire, comprising more than 5,000 homes, three schools, retail, leisure and entertainment offerings, including car parks, play areas and allotments.
  • FCA: Working on the expansion of their Leeds office, including advising on the lease and the licence for alterations required to fit-out the new space within their existing building.
  • Two family trusts: Advising on the disposal of development land to the local council and the NHS for the provision of a new school in Worcester and additional car parking for the local hospital, including due diligence work, replies to specific enquiries, drafting and negotiating conditional contracts, transfers and option agreements.
  • English Heritage: Assisting with the provision of electric vehicle charging points in the car parks of one of their sites, with a view to providing such parking spaces across a number of national sites of historical significance.
