About
Katy is a director in the firm’s construction and engineering team who specialises in providing advice on the procurement strategy and negotiation of standard form and bespoke construction and engineering contracts, service and supply agreements and the associated development, funding and third party arrangements.
With a background in civil engineering, and having worked in-house at Siemens plc for two years, she has acted for contractors, developers and investors on major international energy and infrastructure projects.
Katy has extensive experience advising on nuclear projects, renewable energy schemes and in relation to regulated infrastructure including electricity transmission, water, highways and rail.
Experience
- Global energy company: Advising on the turbine replacement works at an existing PSH power plant and the development of a new PSH plant in Scotland.
- Nuclear developer: Advising on the procurement of civils packages in connection with two new nuclear power plants in the UK.
- Offshore wind JV: Advising on the collaboration agreements for the transmission works connecting two neighbouring offshore windfarms to the national grid.
- Water Company: on the updating and refreshment of its NEC4 based capital works construction framework.
- Renewable Energy Company: advising in relation to its BESS projects as part of the a power station conversion project.
