About
Kirsten is an associate in the Real Estate team, based in the firm’s Edinburgh Office.
She has experience in a wide range of property transactions, including development projects, investment acquisition and disposal, commercial leasing (representing both landlord and tenant) and real estate finance. She has a particular focus on the leisure, hospitality and office sectors and has acted for a number of UK wide hotel operators, restaurant owners and large retailers.
Kirsten also acts for developers, funders and investors active in the energy sector across a range of technologies, including onshore wind, energy storage and solar. She works closely with the firm’s Banking and Corporate teams on renewables financing and M&A transactions and has advised a number of major UK lenders and international developers on projects across Scotland.
Experience
- NatWest: Advising on the real estate aspects of the £130 million financing to support the development and construction of a 106 megawatt wind farm located in Caithness, Scotland.
- Private investment firm: Advising on the Scottish real estate aspects in respect of a refinance of 13 hotels in Scotland.
- Santander: Advising on the real estate aspects of the financing of a 49.9 megawatt battery project located in Fife, Scotland.
