About
Laura is a senior trade mark attorney in the firm’s Intellectual Property team. Laura’s work focuses on providing strategic and practical commercial IP portfolio management advice, including new brand clearance, UK and EU trade mark and design protection, and trade mark and design disputes and enforcement.
She has experience advising on a wide range of intellectual property issues. She has worked for a broad variety of clients, from individuals and SME’s to large multi-national companies, in both the public and private sectors, across many different fields including: food and drink, retail, technology, fashion and cosmetics, and energy.
Laura is a member of CITMA and MARQUES, and is a regular contributor to the firm’s intellectual property bulletin, Concept. She has also contributed to leading industry publications such as the World Trademark Review.
She qualified as a Chartered UK trade mark attorney in 2017, having worked in IP since 2012. She achieved a distinction in both attorney qualification courses at Queen Mary University of London and Nottingham Trent University.

- BBC: Managing its trade mark portfolio including advising on clearance searches, applications, and enforcement proceedings.
- Truefitt & Hill: Acting in the management of its global IP portfolio, including providing a commercial watching service and strategic filing advice.
- Starbucks, Discovery & First Rail Holdings: Advising in relation to the clearance, filing and prosecution of new brands, as well as the enforcement of registered rights against encroaching third parties including opposition and cancellation actions.
- Leading wine producer: Advising and representing the client in important and successful opposition proceedings in relation to a PGI before the UK IPO tribunal and then on appeal before the Appointed Person.
- The Carbon Trust: Advising in relation to its international trade mark portfolio and extending its protection.
