About

Maddie joined the Real Estate team in September 2022 upon qualification. She has experience advising on a range of real estate projects for public and private sector clients across a variety of sectors including transport, renewable energy, built environment and infrastructure and private landlord and tenant matters.

Her experience includes managing commercial property transactions and providing real estate advice to clients. Maddie often works on large scale cross-departmental projects working closely with the planning, construction, energy, transport and procurement teams.

Experience

  • Ultra Group Companies: on property elements of a company re-organisation, including intra-group transfers and lease assignments, as well as ongoing management of its property portfolio including assisting with the grant of new and renewal leases.
  • The Environment Agency: on agreements for the Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme including tripartite documents between multiple landowners, due diligence and working with the Planning team on the ongoing status of a CPO.
  • Transport for Wales: on a variety of matters across its property portfolio including leases, transfers and precedent licence documentation.
  • West Midlands Trains: on the real estate elements of private financing projects of Tyseley and Bletchley depots, including negotiating a suite of documents between multiple parties.
  • Stevenage Borough Council: on its town centre regeneration project, including the a multi-million pound agreement to develop the town centre in multiple phases and working closely with the Tax, Construction and Planning teams on a suite of documents.
  • Atrato: in relation to the acquisition and development of multiple rooftop solar projects, from straightforward airspace lease negotiations to complex ownership structures with superior landlords where the building is at pre-construction stage.
