Muhammad is a solicitor in the Construction and Engineering team. He has experience advising sponsors, funders, developers, contractors and government organisations on energy projects with particular interest in renewable energy development and long term storage infrastructure. He is familiar with industry standard form contracts (such as FIDIC, JCT and IChemE) and project specific documents.
Before joining Burges Salmon, Muhammad previously worked as part of an energy and projects team, advising on a variety of energy and infrastructure projects across Africa.
Experience
- Project developer: Advising a developer on all aspects of the construction and engineering of an integrated energy distribution infrastructure network.
- Project sponsors: Advising the project sponsors on the development of an integrated fertiliser production plant and ancillary facilities.
- Energy generation company: Advising a major energy generation company on the development of an offshore liquefied natural gas processing and distribution facility.
- A state department of energy and mineral resources: Advising a state department of energy and mineral resources on the development of a hybrid independent power plant and distribution network.
- An internal energy industry contractor: Advising an internal energy industry contractor on all aspects of the development of a multi-million pound offshore energy production, storage and offloading vessel.
