Patrick’s focus is advising clients in relation to commercial contract, public procurement and regulatory matters, with a focus in Healthcare and Tech. As Head of the firm’s Healthcare team, he is recognised as a leader in his field by Legal 500 (where he is ranked as a ‘Next Generation Partner’) and Chambers Legal.

He advises clients across the healthcare, tech and life sciences sectors, in the UK and internationally, from innovative start-ups to some of the highest-profile tech disruptors in the market. He also works with central government and NHS bodies to support their procurement and contract arrangements.

  • The government’s Vaccine Taskforce: Leading the Burges Salmon team advising the government’s Vaccine Taskforce throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, in relation to vaccine manufacturing arrangements.
  • An NHS Foundation Trust: Providing advice in relation to its competitive procurement for community pharmacy services, with a contract value in excess of £1 billion.
  • Global provider of cloud services: Advising on its cloud services arrangements with government customers across EMEA.
  • Private provider of community healthcare services to the NHS: Advising in relation to a range of contractual partnership arrangements with NHS bodies.
  • GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance: Advising in relation to the funding of vaccine programmes to reach ‘zero dose children’ in Africa.
  • International telemedicine provider: Advising in relation to its regulatory obligations on entry to the UK market.
