Patrick advises clients in relation to commercial contract, public procurement and regulatory matters, with a focus in Healthcare and Tech. He is Head of the firm’s Health, Care and Life Sciences sector and recognised as a national leader in his field by Legal 500 (where he is ranked as a ‘Leading Partner’) and Chambers Legal.

His clients include independent healthcare providers, global tech and life sciences companies, as well as central government and NHS Trusts.  

Experience

  • Advising some of the UK’s most prominent independent healthcare providers in relation to contract, procurement and regulatory issues relating to contracts with NHS Commissioners, across community care, ophthalmology, diagnostics, private acute, occupational health and neurodevelopmental care.
  • Advising a global cloud services provider on a series of significant cloud services arrangements with government and public sector customers across EMEA.
  • Advising a leading NHS Trust in relation to its collaboration with German healthtech developer, deepc, to help deliver a vendor-neutral cloud operating system for the development of new AI technology for the NHS.
  • Advising an international heath tech provider in relation to its engagement with NHS Trusts to provide AI-enabled diagnostic tools for CT, X-ray and radiology workflows.
  • Leading the Burges Salmon team advising the government’s Vaccine Taskforce in relation to vaccine manufacturing arrangements.
