About
Richard is a senior associate in the firms Real Estate team, having joined the firm in 2022. He has experience advising clients on a broad range of non-contentious commercial real estate matters, including (but not limited to) large and small scale renewable energy projects (hydrogen, solar, EV charging, BESS and wind), strategic land development, land acquisitions and disposals, general commercial landlord and tenant and asset management.
He also has experience in real estate finance, advising on the property elements of corporate acquisitions as well as corporate restructuring and insolvency transactions.
Experience
- Atlantic Green: Advising on the real estate elements of the financing (£152 million) of Atlantic Green’s landmark Cellarhead (624MWh) BESS project.
- Apetito Limited: Advising on the £11 million acquisition of former Airsprung Group site in Trowbridge upon which Apetito will be building out a new leading-edge sustainable production facility.
- John Lewis Partnership: Advising on various aspects of the JLP property portfolio including site acquisitions, lease renewals and general asset management.
- Places for London (PFL): Advising PFL on its proposed development (together with its JV partner) of ultra-rapid EV charging hubs at various sites in and around London.
- Various: Advising numerous developer clients on the financing and development of large scale renewable energy project (hydrogen, BESS, solar and wind).
