About

Sandra is a senior associate in the firm’s Competition team. She advises on a broad range of EU and UK competition law matters including merger control, foreign investment, antitrust investigations, advisory, competition compliance and litigation. Sandra has particular experience advising on merger control and foreign investment aspects of M&A transactions and has advised on some high-profile transactions often involving domestic and international elements.

Her experience covers a breadth of sectors, but she has particular experience in the transport, pharmaceutical, energy and retail sectors.

Sandra also has a Master’s degree in Competition Law from King’s College London and is part of the Competition Section group of the Law Society.

Experience

  • Deutsche Post DHL Group: Advising on all aspects of the UK merger control notification relating to its €1.5bn acquisition of J.F.Hillebrand and successfully obtaining Phase I unconditional CMA clearance.
  • Co-operative Group: Advising on its UK merger control notification in relation to the acquisition of Nisa Retail Limited and obtaining a Phase I clearance from the CMA and the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities.
  • STG Partners: Advising on the UK national security and investment aspects of its US$4 billion acquisition of McAfee Corp’s Enterprise business and, separately advising on its US$1.2 billion acquisition of FireEye Inc.’s Products business.
  • Loop Interiors: Advising on the CMA investigation into the design, construction and fit-out services sector under the Competition Act 1998.
  • Electricity Supply Board: Advising on the UK national security and investment aspects and EU and UK merger control aspects of its partnership with EDF and Reventus to develop the Gwynt Glas Floating Offshore Wind Farm.
  • FirstGroup: Advising on competition law compliance and merger control on a range of matters and transactions.
