Sasha qualified into the Projects department in August 2024 after completing her training contract at the firm. She has experience advising private and public sector clients primarily (but not exclusively) in the energy, environment, nuclear and procurement sectors on a range of contractual, regulatory and strategic matters.
During her training contract, Sasha undertook a secondment to a multinational energy company, where she provided support on the development of offshore wind farms and other energy infrastructure projects.
Sasha sits on the UK Environmental Law Association’s (UKELA) South West committee.
Experience
- United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA): Advising UKAEA on the procurement of its nuclear fusion prototype, the Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production.
- Centre for Sustainable Energy: Providing contractual advice to the Centre for Sustainable Energy on its grant funding agreements.
- Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS): Collaborating with the NRS legal team to provide support on regulatory matters.
- Various renewable energy clients: Reviewing power purchase agreements (PPAs) and related contracts and conducting project due diligence on renewable energy projects.
- Various manufacturers: Supporting clients with compliance on environmental matters such as restrictions on the use of hazardous substances, extended producer responsibility and climate change agreements.
- An international technology business: Part of a core team of lawyers providing contractual advice to a global cloud services provider.
