About

Stuart is project finance lawyer, based in our Edinburgh and London offices, and heads up the firm’s Infrastructure sector team.

He is qualified in Scotland, England and Wales and the Republic of Ireland, and has extensive experience working for funders, sponsors and public authorities on project and development finance deals in the UK and overseas.

Experience

  • Natwest and Export Development Canada: Advising on the £130 million project financing of the 100MW Limekiln wind farm in Northern Scotland.
  • Investec, Allied Irish Banks and Sabadell: Advising on the c.£100 million debt financing, made available to the Greenvolt Group, to finance the acquisition of Kent Renewable Energy Ltd.
  • Rock Road: Advised on the launch of its innovative funding platform created through a partnership between its owners, Rock Rail, Aviva, and the UK Infrastructure Bank to procure fleets of electric buses in the UK market.
  • Project financing: Advised clients (including Cygnum Capitaland EDFI MC) on various project financings in Africa, including a solar mini-grid project in Zambia and an industrial solar project in Zimbabwe.
  • Santander: Advising on the financing of the acquisition of Tilbury Green Power waste wood renewable energy project by Greenvolt Energias Renováveis and Equitix Group.
