Theo trained at the firm and qualified into the Construction and Engineering team in September 2021. He acts for a range of employers, developers, funders, contractors and public sector bodies, advising on various contract forms including NEC, FIDIC, JCT and IChemE. He also has in-house experience following a full-time secondment as legal counsel at Ocean Winds advising on multi-billion-pound energy and infrastructure projects.
Theo has a particular interest in net zero-related projects and has experience across a broad range of renewable technologies, including sub-sectors of renewable energy such as clean heat, green hydrogen, battery, solar and wind.
Experience
- Sizewell C Limited: Advising Sizewell C Limited in relation to the procurement of multiple FIDIC-based equipment contracts.
- Worthing Borough Council: Advising on a complex concession agreement and DBOM contract for a district heat network project to supply heat across a series of buildings including a hospital, museum, gallery and town hall.
- Progressive Energy, Statkraft and Foresight: Advising on the development and negotiation of a suite of construction contracts relating to a series of green hydrogen projects.
- Fulcrum BioEnergy Limited: Advising Fulcrum BioEnergy on the development of its sustainable aviation fuel plant in the UK.
- Ampyr Solar Europe: Advising on the delivery of a suite of co-located assets at Edinburgh Airport, including EV charging points, a new solar farm and battery energy storage system.
- Envision: Advising on a BESS supply agreement and O&M agreement in relation to a 50 megawatt battery project.
