About

Thomas is an associate in the firm’s Competition team and advises clients on a broad range of competition law issues, including merger control, antitrust and broader compliance and advisory work.

As well as more general competition law work, he has experience advising on acquisitions and restructurings affected by the National Security and Investment Act 2021, and has particular experience in the technology sector in this regard.

Before joining the Competition team at Burges Salmon, Thomas previously worked as part of a commercial law team, advising on a wide variety of contracts and gaining experience in data protection, software and intellectual property.

Experience

  • Bluefield Solar Investment Fund: Advising both Bluefield Solar Investment Fund and GLIL Infrastructure on the acquisition of a sizeable portfolio of energy generating assets.
  • Royal Sens: Advising Rotterdam-based Royal Sens, a leading provider of labels and packaging across Europe, on its acquisition of Tipografic, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of wet glue and wrap-around labels.
  • DiscoverIE: Advising international designer and manufacturer of electrical components DiscoverIE Management Services Ltd on the acquisition of 2J Antennas, a global supplier of antenna solutions with operations in the USA, UK and Slovakia.
