Zachary Bourne Solicitor

Zac is a solicitor in the Burges Salmon Dispute Resolution team and has broad experience acting for commercial clients in all stages of litigation and alternative dispute resolution. 

Prior to joining the team at Burges Salmon, Zac previously worked on a range of litigation matters as well as advising clients on alternative forms of dispute resolution, including mediation, adjudication and arbitration. Zac has previously gone on an in-house legal secondment to a multinational nuclear energy production and generation company, supporting on various commercial, contentious and regulatory matters.

• Acting for regulated bodies in responding to, and appealing, charges brought by regulators.
• Advising a multinational energy provider on various matters pertaining to construction, health and safety and nuclear regulation.
• Defending a large investment fund against claims brought against it for common conspiracy, fraud and breach of contract.
• Advising national retailers and clients in the energy & infrastructure sector on legal and regulatory obligations including on matters relating to health and safety and compliance with the Financial Conduct Authority rules.
• Advising a large car manufacturer on its legal and regulatory obligations, including advertising, emissions and vehicle safety rules for the upcoming release of its new pure electric vehicle.
