Our Corporate and M&A team has advised PentenAmio, a global provider of secure mobile communications and AI‑enabled cyber defence technologies, on its acquisition of Armour Communications, marking the first acquisition since PentenAmio’s formation last year.
The acquisition builds on an eight‑year working relationship between PentenAmio and Armour Communications and brings the two organisations together into a single, integrated business. By combining their respective capabilities, the enlarged group is well positioned to strengthen and scale its secure mobility solutions for government and defence customers in the UK, Australia and allied markets.
The transaction further reinforces PentenAmio’s commitment to maintaining, enhancing and delivering large‑scale secure mobility solutions, accelerating innovation and strengthening resilience in response to evolving national security requirements. Armour Communications’ specialist engineering team will be integrated into PentenAmio’s 300‑strong workforce, adding significant depth of expertise, particularly in secure application development.
Burges Salmon previously advised on the merger of Amiosec Limited and Penten Limited, which completed in 2025 and created PentenAmio as a single integrated organisation capable of operating at global scale.
The Burges Salmon team advising on the acquisition was led by Corporate and M&A team partner Alex Lloyd, senior associate Chris Doherty and solicitor Gina Green.
“This acquisition is a highly logical next step for PentenAmio, building on a long‑standing commercial relationship and the successful formation of the group last year. The combination strengthens an already impressive secure mobility capability and further positions the business as a trusted provider of mission‑critical technologies to government clients. We’re pleased to have once again supported PentenAmio on an important milestone in its growth journey.”
Alex Lloyd, Partner
“The acquisition of Armour Communications builds on a trusted long‑term partnership and strengthens our secure mobility offering at a critical time for government and defence customers. We’d like to thank Alex, Chris and the Burges Salmon team for their clear, commercial advice and strong understanding of the sector throughout the transaction.”
Adrian Cunningham, Executive Co-Chair, PentenAmio
