Emma is a senior associate in the Construction and Engineering team, with a particular focus on built environment transactional construction for real estate development, financing, education and healthcare clients.
She is experienced with JCT, FIDIC, NEC and MF1 contracts and with a background in international arbitration having practised in UAE for six years.
Experience
- Advising on the construction aspects of a multi million pound higher risk student accommodation development.
- Advising multiple high end integrated retirement village and nursing home providers on development of their portfolios, against complex debt and equity arrangements, including a first of its kind £500m debt and equity finance.
- Advising on due diligence and post-completion defects rectification on the acquisition and financing of a high profile £60m mixed use central London development.
- Acting for a major educational institution on the refurbishment of an historically and architecturally significant building, with a view to improving energy efficiency of existing brutalist architecture.
- Working with a team for a global data centre client, putting in place FIDIC based framework agreements and managing project call offs throughout Europe.
