Continued calls for clarifications on tPR’s regulatory enforcement policies

It's interesting to see continued calls for the Pensions Regulator to further clarify the interaction between its likely enforcement of the moral hazard powers and its likely use of the new criminal sanctions. Although the Regulator has clearly sought to establish a clear and transparent framework for the use of its various powers, their draconian nature will inevitably lead to nervousness however much information it provides.

Regulatory and criminal proceedings were raised as another area that could benefit from further clarification, as Cardano warned that the policy does little to draw a line between pursuing a regulatory powers case against a target and pursuing criminal powers.
