Burges Salmon has been appointed to the Ordnance Survey’s (OS) legal panel, to support the OS group of companies on a range of legal matters and to work closely with its in-house legal team.
Ordnance Survey is Great Britain’s national mapping service. It carries out the official surveying of Great Britain, providing the most accurate and up-to-date geographic data, relied on by government, business and individuals. OS also supports other nations to develop their geospatial strategies and capabilities.
It is anticipated that the term of the contract will be for an initial three year period, with the potential to extend the contract for an additional 12-month period as agreed by both parties.
Burges Salmon’s bid was successful in the following four Lots:
- Lot 1 (Intellectual Property)
- Lot 2 (Employment and Pensions)
- Lot 5 (Property)
- Lot 7 (ESG)
Emily Roberts, lead partner and partner in Burges Salmon’s Dispute Resolution team (IP), comments: “We're very excited to be appointed by OS to be part of this prestigious panel. The sector requires an in-depth understanding of multiple potential challenges and opportunities, which I am confident that our cross-firm, expert team can bring."
