Pensions Dashboards Update – October 2026

The final connection deadline of 31 October 2026 for pension providers and schemes in scope for dashboards has now arrived.  It is expected that 96% of in scope records will be connected by the deadline.

Any failure to connect fully or partially as required by 31 October should be reported to TPR via its breach of law reporting process on or as soon as reasonably practicable after 31 October.

As schemes move into a post-connection environment, trustees will need to consider data readiness, governance and the potential impact of increased member engagement.

PDP updates

The Pensions Dashboard Programme is continuing its approach of testing with thousands of user testers per month and intends to build on these volumes in the run-up to launch, which is expected during the 2027/28 financial year.

Earlier this month the PDP published draft version 2.3 of its reporting standards, available here along with a blog in connection with this.

A new dashboards hub is available on the PDP website, bringing together lots of the most current and practical dashboards information.

PASA updates

The Pensions Administration Standards Association has published a post-use behaviour toolkit, in collaboration with TPR. This will assist schemes in understanding the operational impact of dashboards once live.

PASA has published guidance to assist schemes in resolving possible matches (where information supplied through the dashboard indicates a potential match which requires further checks to resolve).  PASA recommends schemes put clear contact channels in place, triage enquiries promptly and plan for potentially high volumes of contact.

Other updates

The House of Commons Library has recently updated its briefing paper on pensions dashboards policy, available here. This provides an overview of the development and delivery of pensions dashboards.
