The Pensions Regulatory team at independent UK law firm Burges Salmon has launched its Pension Schemes Act (PSA) Triage Tool to support employers and pensions trustees with navigating the new powers of the Pensions Regulator which are being introduced by the PSA 2021.

The tool, which the firm’s Pensions Regulatory team has made free to access online by request, provides an interactive summary guide for the business community and trustees to understand more about the new regulatory powers, the key defences and the practical steps to consider for certain business events.

Employers and trustees will be able to use the interactive guide to understand the possible implications of changes to an employer’s asset position, employer profitability or creditor security, for example.

Clive Pugh, a partner in the firm’s Pensions Regulatory practice, says: “We’re delighted to launch our interactive and user-friendly PSA Triage Tool and to make it freely available to employers and pensions trustees via the Burges Salmon website by request. The intuitive tool simplifies complex regulation and provides users with practical guidance to apply following specific business events.”
