Burges Salmon secures shortlisting at Legal Week Innovation Awards 2022

After its 2021 success, the firm is again shortlisted in the ‘Client Management Innovation’ category at Legal Week’s Legal Innovation Awards

07 March 2022
Independent UK law firm Burges Salmon has secured a nomination at this year’s Legal Week Innovation Awards, which celebrate innovation in the legal sector along with precedent-setting, game-changing projects and initiatives.

The Awards, now in their 8th year, will celebrate the outstanding achievements of law firms, chambers, in-house legal departments, alternative business structures and suppliers.

Burges Salmon has been shortlisted in the ‘Client Management Innovation’ category in acknowledgment for the firm’s ground-breaking ResiCheck App, with winners set to be announced on 29 April 2022 at Hilton London Bankside.

Conceived by lawyers from the firm’s Tax, Trusts, and Family (“TTF”) team, and developed in collaboration with the firm’s Innovation team, the ResiCheck App is an intuitive tool to support internationally-mobile individuals in tracking and recording their residence in different countries; as well as planning future residency for UK tax purposes.

This shortlisting follows the success of Burges Salmon’s win at The Legal Week Innovation Awards 2021 for its Distressed Contracts Toolkit, an online toolkit to help clients identify, navigate and work through complex legal issues.

Roger Bull, Burges Salmon’s Managing Partner, says: “Innovating client service delivery, a commitment to adding value through technology and providing our clients with accessible ways to navigate a complex area are all high on the agenda for Burges Salmon. It’s terrific to have been shortlisted at the Legal Week Innovation Awards 2022 for our efforts in, and commitment to, these areas.

"ResiCheck makes it easy for clients to track, record and plan their UK residence in a convenient App – and we are delighted that the hard work of our development team has produced an App which has been so warmly received by our clients as an invaluable tool in tracking their residence data."
