Overview

Camilla specialises in corporate advice, equity capital markets, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and private equity, as well as co-operatives and other structures.

She acts for a wide range of UK and international clients, including public and private companies, partnerships, co-ops and private individuals.

She is a core member of the firm's energy, power and utilities team, which gives her a much deeper understanding of the issues facing businesses operating in this area. She also has particular expertise in community energy.

In 2016, the firm's energy team completed 34 M&A deals, four PE/VC equity transactions and two public offers. The team also won Advisory Firm of the Year at the New Energy & Cleantech Awards in 2015 and 2016.

Experience
  • Advising Marks and Spencer on establishing M&S Energy Society – a ground-breaking collaboration to fund the installation of solar panels on M&S stores, including on the corporate structuring and public offer which allowed its customers and the wider public to invest into the scheme. This led to the team winning Energy & Infrastructure Team of the Year in 2016.
  • Advising a major European utility on its acquisition of a Northern Irish wind farm (approx. 45MW) and on its equity investment into two Scottish wind farms (totalling approx. 200MW), including documenting the joint development arrangements for their build out and eventual sale, once operational.
  • Advising US quoted yieldco, TerraForm Power Inc., on multiple solar acquisitions to build a substantial portfolio of projects with a combined installed capacity of approx. 185MW.
  • Advising Belectric Solar on its M&A programme including the sale of its 46MW Landmead SPV to Foresight (Nominated Deal of the Year – 2015 Clean Energy Awards) and the sale of its 50MW Wroughton SPV.
  • Advising on a wide range of Community Energy projects including corporate structuring and equity fundraisings for Westmill Solar, Resilient Energy, Gower Power and Awel Aman Tawe.
