Overview

Patrick is a senior associate in the firm’s planning and compulsory purchase team. He advises on a wide range of infrastructure and development matters, with a particular specialism in energy projects. He also advises scheme promotors and affected parties on compulsory purchase and compensation.

Patrick provides advice to clients on a wide range of matters in the planning process, including advising on planning applications, environmental impact assessment requirements and reviewing EIA reports. He also regularly advises clients in relation to planning appeals, public inquiries and judicial review.

Experience
  • Advising a major utilities company on the promotion of a Compulsory Purchase Order related to an offshore wind farm.
  • Advising on consenting of major renewable energy projects (including section 36 consents), including onshore wind and pumped hydro storage developments.
  • Advising a large investment group on the acquisition of a portfolio of wind farm developments.
