Overview

Alicia is a senior associate in the firm's commercial team, specialising in commercial contracts. She has experience of advising both public and private sector clients on a broad range of commercial contracts and intellectual property matters, across a range of industry sectors including food and farming and retail. 

Experience
  • Acting for BEIS in relation to establishing the UK's largest innovation body with a £6 million budget, United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI), which launched on 1 April 2018. Advising on the identification and analysis of the vast contract and IP assets, which would vest in UKRI and assisting with the implementation of the strategy for ensuring their transfer. 
  • Acting for John Lewis Partnership on a broad range of commercial contracts, including agreements for the business to business supply of goods and services from key suppliers and intellectual property licensing and commissioning agreements. 
  • Advising Great Western Railway on the implementation of a social influencer campaign.
  • Advising on the set up of an AI enabled platform for participating financial institutions to trace fraud through the Faster Payment System using data analytics and artificial intelligence software.
  • Assisting with re-negotiations of a contract dealing with the supply of payroll and HR IT systems services.
