Alison is a senior associate in the firm’s Banking and Finance team, having joined the firm in 2013. She has a particular focus on project financing, acting for a wide range of stakeholders including borrowers, lenders and financial sponsors across a variety of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, clean heat, battery storage and energy from waste.
In addition to her core specialism, Alison has considerable experience in real estate finance and general. Alison is dual qualified in Scotland and England & Wales.
Experience
- Santander UK, Triple Point and Rabobank: Advising the lending syndicate on their £70m financing of two BESS plants in Selby, North Yorkshire and Glenrothes with 150MW combined capacity, owned by global clean energy enterprise TagEnergy.
- NatWest and Export Development Canada: Advising the lenders on their combined financing package of up to £130 million provided to Boralex to support the construction of a 106MW wind farm in Caithness, Scotland.
- BioCapital: Advising the sponsors (owned by Equitix and Helios) on the £85 million syndicated debt financing of its UK-wide portfolio of anaerobic digestion assets.
- Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust (ORIT): advising the borrower on its multi-currency revolving credit facility provided by a four lender club to refinance existing commitments and fund future acquisitions of renewable energy assets.
- Lloyds Bank: advising the lender on the financing of a combined wind and solar project at GSK’s plant in Irvine, Scotland with a private wire offtake arrangement.
- Worthing Borough Council: advising the Council on the finance and security aspects of its low carbon district heating project.
