Elizabeth is an associate in the firm’s dispute resolution team. Her experience includes acting on a range of high-value and sensitive matters for commercial clients, with particular experience in the following areas:

  • Company and shareholder disputes
  • Professional negligence
  • Insolvency and debt recovery

Her experience includes High Court proceedings, as well as advising clients on alternative forms of dispute resolution, including mediation.

Elizabeth also has commercial in-house experience, having spent six months working in the Commercial Banking Litigation team at Lloyds Banking Group.

Experience
  • Advising the shareholder in a high value investor dispute.
  • Acting for a large construction company on a coverage dispute in relation to a claim under its PI policy.
  • Acting for a healthcare company on a coverage dispute in relation to a claim under its BI policy for losses resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Defending the Trustees of a family trust against allegations of fraud.
  • Defending an international construction company headquartered in Turkey, as well as several of its individual directors, in a complex Commercial Court fraud case.
  • Acting on a joint retainer for Insurers and the Insured, a firm of financial advisors, in defending a claim of professional negligence against the financial advisors.
  • Defending a bank against a claim of breach of contract and breach of equitable duties in relation to an alleged sale at undervalue.
  • Acting for a bank in defence of an application for an injunction to prevent the sale of a property.
