Katie trained at Burges Salmon qualifying into the Employment team in 2019.

She advises on both contentious and non-contentious employment and HR matters.

Katie has particular experience resolving employment disputes and defending Employment Tribunal litigation. Katie also has experience in advising on the whole employment lifecycle, including drafting contracts of employment, reviewing policies and advising on termination including drafting settlement agreements.

Katie is a member of the Employment Law Association and Immigration Law Practitioners Association.


Acting for a major national retailer in employment tribunal litigation to include defending claims of unfair dismissal, breach of contract, unlawful deduction from wages and complex discrimination claims.

Day-to-day employment advice on the whole employment cycle, including in relation to disciplinary matters and dismissals and drafting documentation for negotiated exits for a FTSE-100 defence and security group.

Drafting various employment and HR-related contractual and policy documentation for a variety of different businesses.

Providing employment support in connection with corporate transactions.

Advising the Citizens Advice Bureau and the Bristol and Avon Law Clinic on a pro-bono basis.
