Robert Forman Partner

Robert is a partner with the firm, heading up the delivery of Scottish real estate legal services from our Edinburgh office. He acts for a variety of developers, funders, investors, and private individuals across a variety of sectors including the Built Environment and Energy and Utilities.

He specialises in acquisitions, disposals, leasing, development, and secured lending (including cross border/international deals with a Scottish element). He also represents several private clients in the rural property sector. Robert is dual qualified in Scotland and England & Wales.

• Advised a private investment firm on the Scottish real estate aspects of the corporate sale of a portfolio of 14 hotels in the UK for a purchase price in excess of $1 billion.
• Advised on the disposal of a retail and office holding in Glasgow for £30 million.
• Advised on the Scottish real estate aspects of the acquisition of a large hotel group, including 36 hotels in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
