Will trained at Burges Salmon and qualified into the Corporate and M&A team in September 2023. He has experience advising a range of clients, including both private and public companies, funds and private individuals, on mergers and acquisitions (private and public), joint ventures, equity investments and group reorganisations.
He has strong experience in the energy sector, advising utilities, developers, investors and funds on a variety of clean energy technologies, including solar, wind (both onshore and offshore), storage, hydrogen, geothermal, nuclear and anaerobic digestion.
Will also has experience advising clients on cross-border transactions.
Experience
- ENGIE: Advising the French multinational utility company, ENGIE, on its £64.8 million acquisition of a leading biomethane producer in the UK.
- EDF Energy: Advising EDF on the £25 million sale of its gas storage portfolio to Kistos Holdings plc.
- Atrato: Advising the publicly listed investment company, Atrato, on its £38 million acquisition of a 50 megawatt ready-to-build solar project in North Yorkshire.
- Major offshore windfarm developer: Advising on the proposed sell-down of a minority stake in a large offshore windfarm, including coordinating the vendor-side due diligence exercise on the project.
- Schenk Tanktransport: Advising Schenk Tanktransport, one of the leading tank transport companies in Northwest Europe, on the acquisition of Suttons Tankers, a well-established UK road tanker logistics provider.
- Various start-up and scale-up companies: Advising a range of companies at all stages of the corporate lifecycle on investment and fundraising rounds, including acting for both the investee company and the investor.
