William is an associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution team. He advises clients on all stages of litigation as well as on the resolution of disputes by alternative means, including arbitration and mediation. William is part of our extensive dispute resolution practice with a proven track record in the highest-profile cases and cross-border, multi-sector expertise.

He has a wide range of experience that includes advising clients in relation to: contractual issues, shareholder disputes, insurance claims, professional negligence, matters of debt recovery, contentious insolvency and sports law disputes.

William also has experience of public inquiries work and of advising in relation to regulatory investigations / prosecutions.

Experience

  • Post Office Limited: Acting for Post Office Limited in their role as Core Participant to the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry. Includes advising Post Office on their approach to Phases 5 to 7 of the Inquiry and ongoing disclosure obligations.
  • International sports tournament organiser: Advising on the conduct of a sponsorship dispute and options for recovering a substantial debt.
  • High-street chain: Advising on the conduct of a claim against its insurer for business interruption losses flowing from the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Private client: Assisting a client with the conduct of an investigation into a possible breach of export sanctions.
  • Utility company: Acting in the course of a potential prosecution by the HSE.
  • Partnership dispute: advising on the conduct of an LCIA arbitration resulting from a partnership dispute.
