Regeneration and connectivity

Delivering successful ‘once in a generation’ transport-led regeneration projects, helping drive local and regional regeneration through reconnection.

Battersea Power Station at night with railway 04 19

Improving transport connectivity and investing in transport hubs is a substantial driver in many of the significant regeneration projects aiming to revitalise local and regional communities, and fuel local economic opportunity.

Our multi-disciplinary teams work collaboratively with clients (and their wider consultant teams, including planning, financial and environmental consultants) to deliver transport-led regeneration and connectivity projects – from smaller-scale/regional projects to ‘once in a generation’ transformational projects for communities across the UK.

Adopting a ‘whole team approach’, we bring extensive experience, combining transport-focused specialists in legal disciplines including construction, procurement, real estate, planning, procurement, finance, regulatory, environmental, corporate and tax.

Every project adds real and sustainable value. In addition to facilitating substantial opportunity, boosting local and regional employment, and driving economic growth, these communities are now regarded as desirable destinations – increasing usage and land value.

Our teams have acted extensively for all parties on such projects, including landowners, promoters, infrastructure operators/owners and developers. We understand all the perspectives and appreciate what each wants to achieve. Every team member is fluent in the regulatory environment and knows the drivers and risks.

Members of the team have advised on flagship projects, including King’s Cross Central development (London), Weavers Cross (Belfast), Cardiff Parkway (Cardiff/Newport) and the Core Valley Lines transformation project (South Wales).
