Pensions Dashboards Update – June 2025

This website will offer limited functionality in this browser. We only support the recent versions of major browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
We are now one month into the staged timetable for connecting to the pensions dashboards ecosystem in accordance with the DWP’s guidance and there were plenty of developments during May.
A number of further providers announced their connection to the dashboard ecosystem and the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) is expected to begin user testing of the MoneyHelper dashboard during Summer this year.
On 7 May the Work and Pensions Committee (WPC) published correspondence with Torsten Bell MP (Minister for Pensions) in relation to pensions dashboards.
Also on 7 May the Pensions Administration Standards Association (PASA) published a toolkit to assist schemes with multiple / split administration with dashboards connection.
Also on 7 May the Pensions Dashboard Programme (PDP) announced that the standards for pension providers and schemes in scope for pensions dashboards have been approved by the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and the Department for Communities (Northern Ireland). All providers and schemes in scope for dashboards must comply with the approved standards, which can be found here and are named versions ‘2.0’.
On 9 May the PDP published a data protection impact assessment (DPIA) on its central digital architecture and related services. It is stated that the DPIA concerns the processing of personal data by MaPS in accordance with its function to deliver the PDP, building and running the central digital architecture and related services that make pensions dashboards possible, and connecting pension providers and schemes and dashboards to it. It does not cover MaPS’s other dashboard function, the provision of the MoneyHelper public service pensions dashboard, which will be covered in a separate DPIA.
On 15 May the PDP published its latest progress update report. This covers connection progress, standards, consumer testing, private sector dashboards and industry engagement along with updates from the DWP, TPR and FCA.
Updated guidance from TPR in relation to pensions dashboards is expected during June.
