Burges Salmon advises Savills on relocation to Dock House in Bristol

Picture of Richard Clark

Independent UK law firm Burges Salmon has advised international real estate advisor Savills on its relocation into a larger office space in Bristol, with the property consultancy firm agreeing a new lease to occupy the entirety of Dock House.

Totalling approximately 12,000 sq. ft. and overlooking Bristol’s iconic Floating Harbour, Dock House is widely regarded as one of the city’s most prestigious office buildings. The move into larger premises will support Savills’ ambitious plans for growth in Bristol.

The Burges Salmon team advising Savills was led by partner Richard Clark and associate Richard Watkins from the firm’s Real Estate team.

We are delighted to have supported Savills on securing a future-proofed space for its Bristol team at Dock House. The transaction involved navigating intricate title issues and required careful coordination to align with the landlord’s renovation programme. It’s fantastic to see Savills move into a building that reflects its ambitions and provides the flexibility needed for continued growth.

Richard Clark, partner

Our workplace is a reflection of our culture, ambition, and the calibre of talent we aim to attract and retain. Relocating to Dock House will assist us in our continued targets for growth of our excellent Bristol-based service lines. The building’s quality, sustainability credentials, and central location make it an ideal environment for our team, and we’re excited to be moving into a space that supports both collaboration and innovation. We are hugely appreciative of the excellent advice and guidance provided by Burges Salmon throughout this process; the team’s ability to keep the transaction moving smoothly was invaluable in achieving a successful outcome.
