We are recruiting NQ Solicitors (qualifying this September) for our top tier Private Wealth offering to supplement our internal qualifying cohort. 

You would be joining one of the largest Tax and Trusts teams in the country, with a national and international profile rivalling the best firms. Responsibilities

This vacancy is focused on advising primarily UK-based clients on tax and trusts law. You will find that the work is varied and likely to include:

  • Complex succession planning to individuals and family businesses including the use of trusts, partnerships, family charters and FICs
  • IHT and CGT planning including advice on “Balfour” type structures
  • LPAs and Wills
  • Heritage property relief for chattels and real property
  • Advice to trustees on tax, structuring, exercise of their powers and trust management (including TRS and GDPR)
  • High value and complex probates with APR/BPR and heritage relief claims
  • Structuring and reviewing partnership structures

What you'll need

  • Evidence of high quality legal training in private client law
  • Ability to work well within a team and to build relationships with clients, based on quality of service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a complex and varied workload effectively
  • Self-motivation and a willingness to learn
  • You should be on course to qualify as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2025
