Overview

Hannah is an associate in the firm's employment team. She joined Burges Salmon in May 2019 after previously working at an international law firm in both employment law and dispute resolution. 

Hannah advises on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment and HR issues. She has worked on claims in the Employment Tribunal relating to unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, sex discrimination and unlawful deduction from wages. She has also advised on day to day employment matters including TUPE, grievance and disciplinary investigations, contractual documentation and employee handbooks.

Hannah also advises clients on business immigration, including matters relating to sponsor licences and duties, visa applications under the points based immigration system, right to work requirements and international secondments.

Hannah is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and regularly attends conferences and seminars in relation to employment law issues. Hannah is also a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association.

  • Advising a FTSE-100 defence and security group in connection with employment disputes, dealing with employment tribunal claims across the UK in relation to a broad range of employment law issues.
  • Advising a pharmaceutical company on an international restructuring exercise. 
  • Advising a large retailer on various tribunal claims.
  • Providing employment expertise in connection with corporate transactions in both the private and public sphere. 
  • Providing advice on other employment matters including restructuring and redundancy exercises, employee exits and employment documentation.
