James trained at Burges Salmon, qualifying into the Employment team in September 2021.

He advises employers on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues and HR matters.


James has particular experience in resolving employment disputes and defending employment tribunal claims. He also has experience advising on dismissal and grievance processes, conducting investigations, drafting contracts of employment, reviewing policies and advising on employee exits including drafting settlement agreements.

James is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
