Mark Gwilt Solicitor

Mark is a solicitor in our Dispute Resolution team and a member of the firm’s financial services, transport, and procurement groups. He joined Burges Salmon in 2021 on qualification from a US firm.

Mark has worked on a wide range of matters including financial services and insurance disputes, regulatory matters including subsidy control advice and freedom of information challenges, and procurement, technology, and transport disputes.

• Advising clients in financial services litigation and professional indemnity insurance claims.
• Advising a train operating company in an arbitration in the transport sector involving a high-value contractual dispute. 
• Advising on nationally important procurement disputes in the technology and healthcare spaces in the High Court and providing guidance to clients considering launching procurement challenges.
• Providing guidance on subsidy control regulations for large transport and logistics clients to obtain funding for new infrastructure and vehicle investments.  
• Drafting and advising on freedom of information challenges before the First Tier Tribunal.
