About

Hannah is a senior associate in the firm’s Employment team. She joined Burges Salmon in May 2019, after previously working at an international law firm in both employment law and dispute resolution.

She advises on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment and HR issues. She has worked on claims in the Employment Tribunal relating to unfair dismissal, whistle blowing, sex discrimination and unlawful deduction from wages. She has also advised on day to day employment matters including TUPE, grievance and disciplinary investigations, contractual documentation and employee handbooks.

Hannah also advises clients on business immigration, including matters relating to sponsor licences and duties, visa applications under the points based immigration system, right to work requirements and international secondments.

She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and regularly attends conferences and seminars in relation to employment law issues. Hannah is also a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association.

  • The Crown Estate: Advising on a range of employment issues including Tribunal claims and business immigration issues including providing training on visa options and compliance.
  • BAE Systems plc: Providing helpline advice on the full range of employment matters, as well as supporting with employment tribunal litigation, including representing the client at preliminary hearings.
  • Royal Horticultural Society: Providing general HR advice on a variety of employment matters including tailored training on employment and immigration matters.
  • Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew: Advising on a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
  • Ofcom: Working on various employment and HR matters, as well as business immigration matters.
  • John Lewis Partnership: Providing day-to-day employment advice to HR team members of this major UK retailer via a hotline arrangement.
