Katie is a senior associate in the firm's employment team, having completed her training contract at the firm in 2013. 

Katie advises employers and employees in both the public and private sectors on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment and HR issues. She has particular experience in advising on working time and holiday pay matters. 

She regularly advises on complex employment tribunal claims (including discrimination and whistleblowing claims) and on the employment aspects of corporate and commercial transactions.

Katie is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and regularly provides training to clients on employment law issues.
  • Carrying out audits of holiday pay liabilities for a number of companies, including FTSE 100 companies, and providing board-level advice on strategies to adopt in light of the changing case law in this area.
  • Advising a FTSE 100 company on the successful defence of a complex unfair dismissal and whistleblowing employment tribunal claim following an eight day hearing.
  • Advising a large UK retailer in relation to the employment and TUPE aspects of the sale of part of its business. 
  • Providing advice on other employment matters, including restructuring and redundancy exercises, senior employee exists and the defence of complex tribunal claims. 
  • Delivering bespoke training and workshops for clients.
