Overview

Laura is a senior associate in the planning and compulsory purchase team. She specialises in regeneration and infrastructure projects with particular expertise advising on major s106 and highway agreements, compulsory purchase and compensation, Common Land, Town and Village Greens, EIA, and Habitats and Appropriate Assessment.

She is a member of the Compulsory Purchase Association (CPA) and part of the South West CPA Steering Group.

Experience
  • Advising various local authority and developer clients on major housing led regeneration schemes including negotiating and securing complex s106 and Highway Agreements.
  • Advising landowner clients on the impacts of Crossrail and HS2 including petitioning the House of Commons and/or House of Lords and negotiating assurances and undertakings.
  • Advising a number of energy clients on post-consenting strategy for NSIP projects including amendments to DCOs and variations to deemed Marine Licences.
  • Advising both acquiring authorities and claimants on multi-million pound CPO compensation claims including references to the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber).
  • Advising a privately owned airport on common land issues including an application to de-register part of a common.
