Maelor is an associate in the Planning and Compulsory Purchase team. He has experience acting for clients in relation to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, Compulsory Purchase Orders, Highways Act Orders, major planning applications and infrastructure agreements.
He regularly advises clients on energy and infrastructure projects in England and Wales including offshore and onshore wind farms, solar projects, overhead line developments and highways schemes. He also has experience advising on contentious matters including planning appeals, judicial review claims and statutory challenges.
Maelor is a fluent Welsh speaker and regularly produces planning articles and blogs in Welsh relating to Welsh-specific planning and compulsory purchase matters.

- RWE: Advising on applications for development consent orders and marine licences for the Awel y Mor offshore wind farm and Dogger Bank South offshore wind farms.
- Green GEN Cymru: Advising on various overhead line schemes which are developments of national significance in Wales.
- Brockwell Solar & Storage: Advising on an application for development consent for a solar and battery storage scheme in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
- Environment Agency: Advising on a compulsory purchase order for the Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme.
- National Highways: Advising on highways act orders and development consent orders relating to highways schemes in Kent and Gloucestershire.
- YTL Developments: Advising on the development of the Filton airfield site in South Gloucestershire comprising housing, employment and commercial uses and the Bristol Arena.
