With over 20 years’ experience in both corporate and energy law, Malcolm advises clients across numerous industry sectors but has gained particular expertise, and an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the energy industry (with a particular focus on upstream energy matters). In this area, he provides advice on all aspects of energy law, including the acquisition/disposal of upstream assets, farm-in arrangements, data licensing and energy development projects.

Malcolm also advises clients on all aspects of corporate and commercial law with expertise in M&A/transactional work, equity investments, joint ventures, start-ups and employee share schemes. Whilst Malcolm’s client are typically involved in the energy sector, he also acts for clients in the technology, healthcare and food & drink sectors.
