Matthew is a partner in the firm’s Projects team. He specialises in major strategic contracts for both public and private sector clients, particularly in defence, local government and education. He also has significant experience of advising on ‘Alternative Delivery Models’ and shared services projects and strategic partnership/joint venture arrangements.
Experience
- UK Ministry of Defence: Nuclear Submarine Programmes, including design, build, in-service and disposal phases and infrastructure and capability development.
- Department for Education: Creation of independent, not-for-profit companies that deliver children’s social care services on behalf of Councils, pursuant to statutory Directions issued by the Secretary of State for Education.
- Birmingham City Council: Various major projects including the Commonwealth Games and regional collaboration arrangements such as the Birmingham Knowledge Quarter and the West Midlands Safe Centre.
- UK Ministry of Defence: National Tempest fighter jet programme & International Global Combat Air Programme.
- Ascent (Babcock and Lockheed Martin): UK Military Flying Training System.
- UK Ministry of Defence: Next Generation Munitions Solution.
